Using the INFERA Devices

As there has been little clinical research done on red light therapy treatments for pregnant or nursing subjects, do not use the device if pregnant or lactating before consulting with your healthcare provider.

INFĒRA uses only the red and near infrared wavelengths that are clinically-proven to be effective and safe. However, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider for specific questions about your health conditions.

Devices are not intended to cure or diagnose any medical conditions. Use of these devices help promote healthy skin, strong muscles, and overall health and wellness through optimizing cellular function. 

Devices are intended to be used in home and commercial environments. Operation is intended by the user/patient.

Terms

Contraindication is a specific situation in which a drug, procedure, or surgery should not be used because it may be harmful to the person. 

  • Do not use the device if you are photosensitive.
  • Do not use the device if using topical, oral, or injectable steroids.
  • Do not use the device during the healing period post Lasik eye surgery.
  • Do not use the device if pregnant or lactating, users should consult their physician with any questions.

Precaution is a measure taken in advance to prevent something dangerous, unpleasant, or inconvenient from happening.

  • Red and Near Infrared (NIR) light can aid detoxification symptoms, make sure to follow treatment guidelines list in the manuals.
  • Near Infrared (NIR) at 850 nm may aid hyper-pigmentation; discontinue use if this is a concern.
  • Post-surgery users should consult a physician prior to use.
  • Users who have had laser hair removal could experience hair regrowth.
  • Users with cancer or history of cancer should consult their physician prior to use.
  • Users with pre-existing health conditions should consult their physician prior to use.
  • Users with hyperthyroidism should consult with their physician prior to use, as use could increase symptoms.
  • Users with black pigmented tattoos could experience skin blistering. Blistering can occur by inadvertent heating of the iron oxides and/or the metal salts in the tattoo’s black pigment. Tattoo locations can be covered prior to your treatment.
  • Users with herpes virus could experience activation of dormant virus with use.
  • Users taking medications such as Tetracycline, Digoxin, Retin A, and/or other photosensitive drugs, are recommended to consult with your healthcare provider prior to use.
  • Users with a history of facial fillers and Botox injections should consult their dermatologist prior to use.
  • Users with breast implants should consult their plastic surgeon prior to use.

No, you cannot overuse your device as long as it is in motion on your skin. Light therapy is generally safe with no known side effects. Avoid keeping the device steady in the same spot on your skin for more than 60 seconds, as overheating may cause skin irritation. Instead, continuously move your device in long or circular motions.

Use your INFĒRA mini along with your eye cream routine. Massage gently the are around your eyes for 20-30 seconds with the red light mode and then use the blue light mode for another 20-30 seconds.

When using INFĒRA for pain relief, you can use the device directly to the affected area, with or without any type of pain relief cream or gel. First, apply the pain relief cream to the affected area. Once the product has been applied to the skin, exert light pressure while slowly gliding the device along the skin in small, circular motions. Treat each pain area for 5 to 10 minutes, or as needed, until relief in pain has been achieved

For optimal results, use the device at least three times a week for the initial 30 days, and then continue with a minimum of 30 minutes per week thereafter. Treat each area of the face, neck, or body for 2 to 3 minutes. You can incorporate the device into your daily skincare routine, by using it a few times a week or even once a week, as long as you achieve your weekly 30-minute minimum goal. It is permissible to use your INFĒRA device more than the recommended frequency. Remember, consistency is key!

Yes. It is recommended to hydrate your skin after using the device.

With the our new glass head, you can now use your INFERA with your favorite cream or serum. You may apply Cream or serum on the glass head and use with the device directly on your face. Please clean glass head after every use with a wet cloth.

We do not recommend to use the device over your makeup, as the device is most effective on clean skin. Also, makeup will leave dirt and residue inside the machine that can then be transmitted back onto your skin and into your pores in later sessions.

Per the INFĒRA Warranty, your replacement product is absolutely free. We provide a return label via email for you to mail the damaged device back to us. Your only out of pocket expense includes a processing, shipping & handling fee of $89.99 (For shipments within the U.S. only) for the brand new INFĒRA device to be mailed back to you.

For international shipments ONLY:

Shipping a replacement internationally costs $149.99, however shipping fees may vary depending on location. Potential customs/brokerage fees may be applied by your shipping carrier at their own discretion.

The warranty does not cover mistreatment or misuse of the product and will not cover instances, such as the logo rubbing off due to normal wear and tear. We reserve the right to refuse warranty replacement if such is the case.

INFĒRA is proud to offer a Lifetime manufacturer’s warranty on all of our devices. The warranty covers any manufacturing or workmanship defects, such as non working lights and battery failure. Learn more here.

INFĒRA products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship at the time of manufacture with a lifetime warranty. If your product arrives missing parts, we require a replacement request be made within the first 90 days from the purchase date. Our systems will reflect the same location and processing times as your carriers– we pull the delivery information from your tracking number. Once an order has shipped from our warehouses, the carrier will have the most up-to-date information on where your order is.

We regularly ship our products to many countries worldwide and all shipping options are calculated during checkout.
